OK, so I hear there is a mileage drop in the winter months, but I am seriously thinking that my MPG drop is due in part to my CAI. Do any of you have experience with this?
My theory is that since extra cold air is coming in, the engine must be throwing in more fuel to compensate for the denser air with more oxygen. And during this time of the year, it may be to my benefit to use just the stock intake instead. Any opinions?
I was getting an average of 18.5-19mpg when it was warm with a brand new un-broken in engine. Now I am down to around 16.5. This seems like a huge drop. But maybe it's normal for these cars.
