I am planning on putting a high output alternator on my 2011 ss when i do my sound system in the next couple months. I am wondering if anyone has taken the stock alternator off yet? And if there are any other parts i will have to take off to get it off/on?

Unless you are planning more than 2 or 3k Watts, the stock Alternator is plenty. It has 150 amps.sigpic -
im doing a 5k lol it puts out 6300 at 14.4 volts. im doing the HO alt, xs power batteries, and im upgrading the big 3 to 0 guagesigpic
