I like my music loud. as do alot of people. I am planning on doing 2 10 inch subs in my trunk and possibly a more powerful amp for the stock speakers, naybe different speakers later.

I am just wondering if anyone else on here has done anything to their sound systems.

              I'm a bit unique.

I'm running a vintage Alpine amp (3520, 150W) and crossover (3652). Still going strong from my first real audio build back in the early 90's. I am driving a new, Memphis Audio 10" driver. My old 10" Pyle got dead from stuffing a box in the trunk (no grille; ripped the surround).

yea i am going to be going with a little more power. I am going to be doing 2 audioque 10s with a audioque 3500d.1 amp which puts out 4400 watts at 14 volts

Depending on the actual wattage, you may need to look into a different battery and alternator. 4400W with 14 volts is 314 amps!

Just to be clear, that kind of spec (4400W) is peak power. The important number is RMS power, and determines the wire gauge needed and if you need a different alternator.

Yes i know everything i have toi do. I am getting a 270 amp alternator, 3 kinetic 2400 batteries, and im doing 2 runs of 1/0 guage wire. Trust me i know what i need when it comes to this stuff. I am building my box and tuning it to 37 hertz. and The amp puts out between 4000-4400 at 14 volts and thats RMS. Audioque does not provide peak due to its inaccuracy of real world applications. I have also seen these amps in action with a clamp meter. I also have the owners personal email, in which i get most of my information.

I'm thinking of going with a sub thump package. Hopefully I can get it installed by start of summer.

I went a little crazy on my system, but it sounds excellent.

I have all Hertz Mille Speakers and Audison LRx Amps.

I kept it simple and went with the factory mtx system, yea it was overpriced but it went in so easy and sounds pretty good in my opinion

Seems like that amp is overkill for your speakers... At most those 10's can only handle 1200 RMS individually. If you have two of them thats 2400 RMS. Seems like 4400 is waaaay overkill.

I'm bumpin' 2 pioneer premier's which have 1400 RMS max each. I've got a crunch amp pushing out 2400 watts. I've got the speakers tuned down a bit and I'm only pumping 1k into each. They hit more than hard enough.

If you are interested in going with 12's you will have to get 2 single boxes most likely because my older ported box couldn't make it into the trunk.
