I do believe sir that if you put the car in sport mode on the gearshift lever the afm is turned off and it stays in 8 cylinders, check that out if so then there should be no problem if what he is saying is your 4-8 situation, but if it still does it then you have a different prob.
and yes it takes awhile for the computer to relearn after you put the stock cleaner back on. It doesnt happen right away.

Just an idea, but if you haven't been using 91 octane in your SS then this could cause the issue. The car can still run on 87 octane, but the performance will be a bit more sluggish. Also if you start using 87 octane the computer recognizes it and will have to go through a learning curve.

Actually, if you EVER put 87 octane in the computer adjusts down to the lower octane table and NEVER relearns to the higher 90+ octane table. The only way to get back to the higher octane table is with a fuse pull. There is a sticky thread about it over on camaro5.com. I don't know that this will help this situation though.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my Track next fix.

This could be part of your issue as well, Shell gas sucks!!!! Try switching to BP because they have much better fuel. Talk to most most speed/tuner shops and I am sure they will agree.

Do you have an Auto? All Autos are like that .. I went with Vector Motorsports Mail Tune and they also tune your CAI also. It was like day and nite.. The tune was simple and fast .. there are 2 parts one for the Tranny and one for the Engine..I downloaded both.. NO hesitatation at all and tires chip when shifting when getting on it.This is the way Chevy should have done it stock. I know you don't want to void your warranty, I was in the same boat.. Glad I did though. You can download your stock tune back in fast if you take to the dealer .. they say the Dealer can't tell but who knows.
