Heh. Nothing worthy of pics yet, unless you like functional, but, crappy-looking hardware!

So many options on a location! On shifter (buttons either horizontal or vertical), on bezel behind shifter, hand-held, etc.

For now, I just have the switches in a film canister. Tested just holding it and then I zip-tied it to the shifter. On the shifter is pretty nice.

            Phase two!

This is a bit better, but, I need to find a nice auto shifter to integrate this into.

Also, it would be cool to find a slightly smaller switch assembly to mount it around front. Trigger shift!

looking good, work on a better shifter handle to house her in and mill out your slot for her.

Nope. Too much of a PITA. I drove a stick for 10 years. Too much traffic around here for it to be fun.

there is somebody selling billet shifters with the buttons there but he says the the buttons on the stering wheel need to be deactivated to work properly,

Tony, where you able to keep bot sets of shifter buttons working?

I was the one that told him that both would not work.

It could be done with modification to the steering wheel switches.

I think this is the look you're going for -- this is in the 2011 Malibu loaner car I'm driving while my V6 Camaro's in the shop... This feels much more natural doing the shifting on the shifter than the steering wheel, IMHO.

I would dig a replacement shifter maybe a different color modified version somewhat like this one for the Camaro...

Have to say, the tap-shiift makes this car 10x more fun, when you want to use it... Nice to have the option.
