From what we've been told, and I have seen, it's not really hard, actually. I think the biggest project of the whole thing is taking the center console out. The rest of the wiring harness simply plugs in/gets added to existing harnesses. only one wire calls for a tap. Installing the backup camera should be "harder"

You also may have to change your sharkfin, but it looks like I won't need to.

1. the issue is with the GPS/Onstar antenna... the XM is fine.
2. Since the XM is fine, the 'old' sharkfin could stay in place, and find a new place for the new sharkfin for GPS/Onstar.
3. People were telling me that the sharkfin would not work if it were on the dash or rear package tray... That would be the XM that would struggle. The GPS antenna on many in-dash GM nav's is under the dash pad in the front. (including my Suburban) So I was figuring to either take out the center channel speaker and put the antenna there, or find another place under the dash to try the antenna
But after looking up the onstar box in my 2011, I should already have correct antenna.
- Not sure how soon I will have the Intelligent Parking Assist System module... depends largely on how soon after Chinese new year it gets shipped

Hey Toasty, I saw your post on camaro5 about adding the dynamic parking guidelines to your backup camera. I have been looking to get a backup camera added to my 2013 with MyLink and keep running into dead ends.
Can you help me out on what you used? How difficult was it?
Thanks

Hat's off to Brian @Mr. Kustom!!! Had the MyLink system installed on my 2011 2SS. Flawless! HUD working, voice controls working. Nav is sweet! The one touch Bluetooth pairing was amazing. There are so many functions that unit controls. If you are considering this upgrade, spend a little extra and go with the kit from MVI/AutoSpaTech. It will function as if it came from the factory that way. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. While I was at it I had the backup camera installed.
The only down side to the experience was having to drive over to Mr. Kustom in a raging snowstorm!
