Adding a backup cam can be pretty easy.

Will be anxious to hear if the "not too difficult" holds true. Looks like it would be a nightmare, but with good instructions and patience, anything is doable. Keep us informed on how it goes.

I will. The more difficult part for you may be the sharkfin. The '10 seems to require swapping for a newer sharkfin, but they're investigating an alternative.

You don't like the idea of taking down the headliner? LOL There's still a chance it doesn't need changed, we'll know pretty soon

True, I could have pieced together some of the parts, but probably would not save too much, so I went for the kit.

Hey, How much is the faceplate. I am easily over $1200 so far.

The nav faceplate depends on where you get it, if you use the nav faceplate. It came up today that the non-nav faceplate can be used instead and would just not have the dedicated nav/destinaton hard buttons, just using the screen.

I tracked down a faceplate from a 1000 mile pull from a salvaged car, 550 to my door with lifetime warranty from the supplier. Dealer quote I got was for 640 with no warranty (because of no VIN)

I'll easily be under 1400 without the backup camera, still researching that.
