Cold Air Inductions recall

Heads up to anyone that purchased one recently there is a recall on the filter. This only effects fliters bought after September 1 and effects filters with the serial number CF-8400.

Problem: Any CAI that has been assembled after 8-29-14 and has a Filter CF-8400 may have an incorrectly sized filter neck. This defect can cause the filter to come off the intake tube while the customer is driving, the filter will install and the customer will not know they have a problem until after the filter detaches.

Solution: Using thePDF attached, please check the serial # on any corresponding part #’s that you have in stock to see if they fall within the problematic serial #’s listed in the attached recall notice. Any customer that you have shipped a corresponding part # to since 8-29-14 should also be notified with the attached recall notice letter! The attached form explains what to check, how to check, and the correct action to take. For all CAI’s or CF-8400 orders that you find which fall within the serial # showing a problematic filter, please email the part #, serial #, and your PO# to [e-mail address removed] and we will ship out the corrected filter along with a return tag to get the problematic filter back and out of circulation.
