  • Rustling noise

After getting my headers and hi flow cats installed, I hear this noise only when im not pressing the gas. It sounds like a rustling noise, nothing super loud but noticeable and it sounds like it is coming from the cats/headers connection area?

    Anyone have this problem before?

I noticed more engine noise after I had my headers installed but not what you're describing that sounds like more of an exhaust leak.

Or there's contact being made with the exhaust. I would take it to where you had it installed or a exhaust shop they should be able to diagnose it.

Took it into my local shop and we lifted the car, and it sounds as if the noise is coming from the headers themselves. My question would be, if something was in there wouldn't it come out with the air flow? So what could it be then?

              Could be an exhaust leak.

Kooks headers and cats along with flowmaster AT exhaust.

Took it into speed inc yesterday, and they said it was just header resonance.

All name brand and quality pieces. I have Kook's myself. Speed Inc.'s thought sounds reasonable. Get some other opinions from fellow members at a future event. If they are new, it might go away once they get some miles on them. IDK, just a thought.
