So i thought i would right a little review on the new motor mounts I purchased along my build.
I was asking around what options there were for motor mounts these days. Sadly there weren't many options.
But luckily T-bone directed me to the new BMR motor mounts. No joke, they just announced them a couple days before i was asking a group about what options there were. Out of all the guys i have talked to i am the first one to actually purchase and run them.
They are a poly mount which are MUCH stiffer. But i have no complaints from them at all. I will say that when i start the car, that motor does not move.... Everything else on the other hand is a different story. They do a GREAT job holding that engine in place. sitting in the car i can see the passenger seat shake and can feel the engine much more now, but for me thats not a complaint. I actually enjoy it much more.
i actually had an issue with my stock motor mounts to where my engine would rotate so much that it hit my firewall. I have 2 dents to prove it. I can say that is not a worry at all anymore.
i recommend anyone that is increasing power, or looking for a way to keep the motor planted better to pick these up. Easy to install and do what they are supposed to do.... That is all.
