  • Headers won't pass emissions?

So I'm looking at lmp.com for parts and such to see what I do when I get my car. (Its been a month and I'm going crazy, I hope it comes in soon before I go nuts!) Anyways, I'm looking at a header/exhaust kit but it seems all the ones I look at says it won't pass emissions? Anyone have any feedback on this? I think I heard emissions is different in every state so will it atleast pass Illinois tests?

Heres the set I'm looking at.

    SLP 30213 SLP Camaro 2010 Longtube Headers 1 3/4 w/ Cats and Xpipe - 30213

    :thanks:

I have longtube headers and NO cats. Just a tune and you'll pass. The guy that did the test on my car even knew there was exhaust work done but I still passed.

So with cats I'll pass with no problems?

With or without cats, you should still get it professionally tuned when installing headers. It will optimize HP and eliminate any emissions and 'check engine' problems.

as long as you dont have any CEL codes stored or active, you'll pass. They simply check and make sure that the CEL light works and that there are no stored codes, and that all systems are reporting passed their self test.

If you are worried about that PM me we can tune the car on our dyno for you to get more power and torque and make you pass emissions with flying colors and I can get you a screaming deal on the headers of your choice.

              Thanks,
              Eugene
