Hey everyone, with summer finally approaching and highschool ending I took the liberty of buying Faye some upgrades including 65lb injectors, new cooler spark plugs, a zl1 fuel pump, adm fpcm, a gently used turbonetics kit and the gm 3.91 gear set.. I am planning on installing this all myself (saves me around 2-3k) over the next weekend or two, I am cutting an access hole for the fuel pump and have my rear stripped already for the fpcm, how long do you guys think it will take from start to finish? And recommendation on the order?

Reach out to me with any questions. I have cut the panel myself and it's actually in my build thread. Pending on your tools and know how I'd say between 8-10 hours for install... don't rush it, take your time, and take breaks lol. I would recommend to hold off on the 3.91 gear though.

Turbos like tall gears. They need the RPM and load to produce the power. .. putting a shorter gear in the car causes the car to go through gears too quickly. Sometimes not allowing for the turbo to do what it's supposed to do. Even with my 3.45 stock gear I would spin the tires on the highway in 4th gear.. I'm actually probably gonna go taller this year too.

I just looked at your build thread. It is my first time tackling a fuel pump, I bought a removal ring tool on amazon from recommendations... all you do it turn it counterclock wise to remove it, let it drain, swap then put it in and turn it clockwise correct?Da Fisch

Yessir. Taking it off is much easier then putting on too. I had several towels laid around the opening to make sure I didn't drop anywhere too. Shoot, I still have my back seats out from doing it lol.

You have HP Tuners go make the proper adjustments to the tune to compensate for the new FPCM?

Not yet, my plan is to install the new fuel pump, hopefully have the turbo installed by wednesday as well as the new axle shafts, and have it tuned by friday.. Just need to find someone who isn't booked! Hopefully it doesnt all take as long a I think. Till then I'm drivng under 3000 rpm to keep it from running to richDa Fisch

Be very careful on where you take it for tune... The reason my motor popped is all from the tune I had done... and also the reason I will be tuning my own car from now on too.
Also be careful as with the new injectors and fuel pump it's not good to drive it at all until you at least compensate for everything. RPM won't matter it will be dumping so much fuel it's not funny.

Not a bad deal.
But yeah, running 65lb injectors with a stock tune will just fill your cylinders up with fuel. Fuel pump is ok, just mainly the injectors will pose the issue.
If all goes as planned I am selling my rear mount turbo kit and doing a single engine bay - 82mm Borg Warner turbo. I'm just happy to see another turbo in the area :-)
