                                LS1 Cam vs LS3 Cam

                                LS1 Cam vs LS3 Cam.

Jeff asked a good question, why our "custom" grind Cams (Yes, they have a Comp Cams Part number) have LS1 as in the part number.

The LS1 Cam core is technically the same as the LS3 Cam core, but for the LS1 core has three bolts holding the Cam gear onto the cam, while the LS3 only has one bolt. We order our cams as three bolt/cores and have to add a three bolt cam timing gear.
