And just to point out. Just because you get a cam doesn't mean the car has to be louder. Proper tuning and mufflers can hide a cam altogether... Most just like the exaggerated exhaust note so we amplify it.

      THANKYOU!!^^^^^^

Guys we are driving American muscle cars lol!

Search and ask around visit shops, calling them will not really give you a glimps of hie they operate visit them IMHO.
Go with experience, I wouldn't want to have my "tuner" take it to another "tuner" to get my build right.
Remember these are HEAVY CARS, if your going to drop the coin make it worth it and do it right the first time or you'll be paying twice, I guarantee it.

It's a video of the car idling but it has not been tuned yet. Actually, the car is idling a little fast in the video so the lope is not as pronounced in this video as it really is in person. Video's just don't capture it well. You have to hear the car in person......really.

There's another video of my car at WOT on the Dyno but I can't find it right now.

We have several cars in the club that have CAM's, and from different shops. I suggest you come to a meet where most of us will be and listen to each. That's the only real way to decide what you want. The type of exhaust will make a huge difference in sound as well.

Sounds like we need to round up all the CAM'd cars and have a meet in the spring.

That would be great...I'll work on my poker face so you can't immediately tell which one I like best :-). Seriously though it would be nice to hear a full spectrum of cam and exhaust notes before making a decision...I too agree that it should be done right the first time!

            A spring meet sounds great!

This has actually been one of the most informative conversations on power, sound, and performance - pros and cons. Plenty of ways to go with the Camaros! Also, can you imagine being in the Jewel parking lot with the new cam, headers, high flow cats!

As I always say when making an initial modification... always have your long term goal in mind, so you aren't stuck purchasing the same part twice. I can speak from experience and that Sucks lol

This exact statement is why I would recommend starting at the front and working your way back. I started at the back and have made two exhaust changes and am probably looking at a third. My situation and goals changed drastically though because I never thought I would ever supercharge the car. Guess my point would be that if your build is over a long period of time which most of us it is due to funds, you may end up changing a part or two more than once along the road if your goal changes. Play your cards right though and you can avoid it most of the time. Not sure any of this makes any sense at all...

Had the exhaust done over time and done a few small performance things. Just dropped car off at speed inc yesterday to get ls3 conversion, cam, new converter. Over all it was arount 4200$ and I saved for 7-8 months. I pick it up friday and will let you know about changes in driving ect
