Well at least i know i got another year out mine hopefully haha. I will probably follow in your steps for the alky system next time around. I just couldnt pass up the deal of $300 for the full kit for the AEM failsafe kit.

The Allky is about $825 but is some much better than the AEM. All braided lines, much butter pump and controller.

Oh man, that $825 looks like a lot more because of the lack of a running car

sent from my galaxy s3. that would explain the errors.

Plus another thing it seems like i am faced with, to get anything over a 9.6 CR, i have to lose the dished piston and go with a flat top. Unless i go custom piston that is.

I was thinking i could pull off 20psi with the aid of my meth. Spraying 2 -550cc nozzles that is.
Just an FYI, to those considering using Methanol: In large doses it can have a negative effect on piston rings / coatings... without getting too complicated it's a similar principle to running nitrous.

Make certain the the rings are compatible for the intended application.

Similiar to those running E85 as well. Always have to make sure to prep the system for fuel type.

But on the reverse side too, meth acts as a cleaning substance. The water turning into steam helps break down all the gunk and buildup inside the cylinder. I personally run 30-40% meth only. As i am using it more for the cooling factor and water actually does more cooling then the meth itself.

But still a very good point that it should be noted at the time of building the setup for sure.

                Dunno really, how about 9.5:1.....

For 20 psi you will need to race on race gas I would not use meth/alky/water for that, that's way too risky.

hey john! How was LS fest????

Yeah, i was planning on race gas only for my 20psi runs. Dont wanna run into the same situation i am in for a long time. Thinking like VP109 + meth would be good.
