  • Pype Bombs? Yes or no?

I found a good deal on a set of Pype bombs, they sound excellent and being unemployed after surgery, theyre all I can afford, has anyone had experience with them as to ease of instalation, sound etc.?

havent heard a set of pype bombs on a 5th gen at all so i can't speak of that.

But one thing you can do which is inexpensive and IMO sounds good is just remove the mufflers. Just get them cut off and have a straight pipe welded in there. I think total it cost me like $150-200 at the time to get it done. And i loved the way it sounded.

Talked to a guy at C5Fest that had stock headers and cats, but removed the mufflers. The car sounded pretty good. I was surprised! Agree with Syck, inexpensive way to get some decent sound out of the car.

I wonder if anyone has done this on a V6?

I have heard it on a V6. Not as good as an effect as the V8 and but an improvement over stock for sure

sent from my galaxy s3. that would explain the errors.

The only problem I had when I cut off the mufflers was the drone made me want to kill myself on the interstate

I bought the axle back kit 2 years ago. Fit was terrible. Would have had to take it to a muffler shop to have modifications done to make it fit. Even there instructions said it might need modifications to make if fit. I sold the kit and went with Kooks cat back which fit great. Sometimes, its cheaper for a reason. Just my 2 cents

Thats cuz of that silly cylinder cut off thingy you have. My drone was minimal.

Well Im getting them for 200 bucks, so it would be the same price as running no mufflers, I saw a vid on youube where a guy compared the muffler delete to the pype bombs, and the pype bombs had a deeper growl to them and a raspier rev, plus no drone..hope they fit on as easy as some of the reviews i saw or Im paying for Randys cam lol
