Personally no. Search for OBX on Camaro5. You'll find tons and tons of debate and commentary over them from factual data to chest-beating 'Murica commentary.

Yeah I read some of it. Went from OBS headers to ranting of buying american, canada and china. I got a head ache.

Pretty much how it goes with OBX threads.

I've read through a lot of the fluff and those that got them and didn't get a bad batch seemed to be happy with them. There is the ethical concern over their obvious cloning of a well known vendor, but I suspect that's a very normal thing and why we seem to always have patent suits (outside of trolls).

I can't speak from personal experience as I had Doug Thorleys (which don't cost all that much honestly). If you go in to a purchase knowing what you're getting and the potential crap shoot, I guess it's up to you.

I thought we had a member or two here that had them on their cars.

I kept going back and forth on the OBX. I like the price and that they are 304 stainless and that I can order them now. The only thing that is keeping me is the possible ridicule from C5 members.

Even tho I bet most of those people complaining about over sea's stuff shop at walmart and probably have nothing made in america in there house.

But the ridicule is coming from kooks, arh and other owners. I didnt see any complaints from OBX owners.

Borla is an American made product if that's important. Made in Johnson City, Tennessee by my redneck relatives.

The biggest irony on Camaro5 about them pulling the "Buy American" card is the simple fact that the car they're all driving is Canadian built.

That's a two parter from what I saw.

                    1) -- OBX is cutting in to their profits
                    2) -- OBX has potentially committed copyright violations and is outside the USG's reach

yes I think I have only seen one negative post for the OBX from someone who got bent headers from delivery.

I just found a guy selling TSP long tubes on C5 and pm'd him within mins of the post. Hope he responds. I know a few others (even from around here) have posted asking for shipping quotes after I pm'ed him. Hope he goes by first PM first serve lol.

He does only have 4 posts tho so that is worrisome.

I agree! I mean I love supporting the USA but sometimes it's not worth it. I'm willing to go for the TSP headers bc they are reasonably priced. Other brands are just outrageous to me.

What really gets me is when sponsors get involved with that debate. How different can 1 7/8 headers for a 5th gen Camaro be one to another.

I saw that. Just so many choices. I want to order them now but I leave for Florida in a week and won't be back until June 8th and I dont want a package sitting at my door for days. Still don't know which I want. Kind of leaning toward the TSP or SW ones. Yea i'm still up in the are about brands. If I can get these then I am fine. If I can't I might go with OBX, TSP or stainless power. (made by stainless works just over seas)

I found a YouTube video of my Borla ATAK exhaust with the Dynatech Headers and Cats. Sounded REALLY good and this is what FLP likes to use. I know several people here on the forum have Dynatech so I know they are proven brand.

Thought about going with the recently announced Pfadt brand headers but I don't want to wait. Who knows when they'll be available and I get nervous about a brand new product.
