Heat before the turbos is good as that increases velocity of the air causing quicker spool. But also sometimes smaller diameter pping allows for quicker air flow too.
anything after the turbo though... bigger is always better. The less resistance after the turbo the better, but before is very tricky. I honestly would say that putting headers on my car might pick up 5-10hp maybe on a cool day.
