Ok so I really REALLY want headers. But I don't want to spend an arm and a leg.

    I'm looking at:
    BBK
    JBA
    SP (Stainless Power)
    DT (Doug Thorley)

All in a 1 7/8 long tubes. I'm leaning towards the Doug Throley just because the only other headers I ever had were DT's and the Tri Y's are supposed to help keep low end torque.

    Opinions?

Steve if you want to save some money and not sacrifice quality Texas S&P long tube headers are a nice choice. I have the 1 7/8 on my 2SS and I love them. I liked them so much I went with one of their cams to. Their prices are very reasonable.

I know you didn't list them but they are worth a look. Speed Inc - Search results for: 'long tube headers'

I ended up with a nice blend of low end and high end torque and the cam I installed kept my car street friendly but very punchy.

I'm at 455 hp and 426 torque according to the Dyno.

Their LTH are easy to install and fit right on the money. Many people are happy with them, I have a few videos here if you want to hear them and read others comments.

Tsp are back ordered 2-6 weeks! That's why I didn't list them. I'm hoping to order tomorrow and I was hoping to have them installed before the dyno day.

I'm leaning towards the Doug thorley tri y's. they aren't stainless but they are made in the USA.

If they are not stainless you should get them coated, if not they will rust my the end of the summer lol, is it your daily driver?

If I were you I'd wait for tsp's or even shop around for OBX on flEbay they are stainless and cheap also, both are made in China either way lol.

The Doug thorley are ceramic coated. I had them on my old G8 for over 30k daily driver miles and they looked great when I took them off. The stainless power are 304 stainless. As for the obx, I haven't been able to find just the headers without the rest of the exhaust.

The Camaro is not a daily driver.

Maybe those headers would give you the 2 tenths you need.

If i put headers on i couldnt fit the charge pipe past them. So i would have to redesign my turbo kit. lol we looked at getting headers when i did the install. But majority of the ones we looked at wouldnt work with the setup.

Are headers like that beneficial at all for a turbo set up... I figured it wouldnt be right for velocity and such
