Get a quote from speed Inc. And if you really want to work with libertyville(I would/did) you can try to negotiate the price down. Another quote will help your case.

Hoosierguy go to Texas Speed and Performance and order there brand lt's 304 stainless they are around 400.00 you will see the same performance gains as the 1200 dollar kooks. I have them on my camaro and my truck.

TSP's are 469.00 iirc both the 1 7/8's or 2", Indiana has the similar set up as us here in Illinois, there is no visual (looking for cats) and all they do is plug in and make sure you have no CEL lights.

Shorties are pointless and so are cats once long tubes are installed. They say that the "fumes" are less but with a proper tune you won't smell the "fumes". I personally wouldn't waste my time with cats especially if you ever have plans to go FI.

I would personally not pay a shop 3k for tune and lt's. If you buy the parts your self and get a local tuner you will save tons of money. Look into it.

Libertyville does usually use kooks. Ask them what headers they quoted you for. I know I had asked them to use other parts or parts I provided to them and they were ok with that.

Lt's plus cats has to be 1800, tune will normally cost you 500, so 700 would be labor and misc parts.

Man, I always get confused when people talk about those cat thingies. So useless they are ;-)

sent from my galaxy s3. that would explain the errors.

I didn't have them on my G8 and I don't plan on having them on the camaro when I do headers.

Speed Inc. installed my Kooks longtubes + cats, I run the stock remaining exhaust. With CAI cold air, u/d pulley and tune I went from 315rwhp to 368rwhp. I picked up 6mph in the quarter.

TSP headers would probably be the cheapest headers that are a reputable manufacturer IMO.

Or you could do catted mid pipes like Solo or JBA, supposed to be good for 2 or more tenths at the track. Some times very good used deals on Camaro5 for those, I sold a used set on there.
