  • Ported throttle body question

Got my RX ported throttle body today. Opened it up and you can see where the process was done except it does not go all the way around the opening. The top portion was not done. I would estimate 1/4 of it not done. Is this the way it's supposed to be?

I know the v-6 ones are machined that way for a reason, mine actually looks a little oblong. I am not sure about the v-8 ones .

looks ok to me too. the reason for that is it would choke off air supply at idle. mine is perfectly smooth with a small tention on cable to keep idle without chokin out air supply. no hang ups, instant peddle response, yours my be fine?

Thanks again all. Installed it yesterday but haven't had the opportunity drive the car enough to tell if there's any change.

Ehhh you can expect quicker Throttle response that can be confused with more hp lol.
