CAI is one of the better ones, not quite as good as the Halltech in torque but better than the others.

This chart is a few years old but Jannetty is the only shop that did a comprehensive test of all available CAI's. This does show how bad the K&N is though.

I chose the Halltech based of this and love it. With just the Halltech on my car I got into the 12's at the track.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my Track next fix.

Thanks, T. I didn't realize how much the Scoop added to the CAI brand intake, almost 4hp and torque. Don't know if I would really feel that difference but would probably see it at the track. I may have to consider that mod. Geesh.....it never ends!

The 2010 test was 10-14 HP increase or am I reading that wrong.

the test done in 2010 showed an AVERAGE gain of 10 hp throughout the power band with a PEAK of 14hp at the highest point. That is aprox 5% more HP over stock.

I had CAI on my 2010 SS and it did really well keeping the car fed. I never added the ADM scoop to the car.

With the Corvette, I have a Halltech MF103 w/ shield sitting in the closet waiting for track season.

You can add all the ceramic you can fit, it's still metal and the IAT's will rise the longer your driving around and sitting in traffic. Will it cool off once your moving out? Sure but what about when the road temps are 90*+? Lol.

I wouldn't base decisions too much on a dyno test conducted by "Lord Jannetty" because most people forget that he's a vendor and is going to try to push what he sells. Which is nothing bad at all because you need to make that money. The real numbers are on the street and the track not on a machine with a fan or even 10 of them on lol those are still simulations. Does the scoop really make that much of a difference? Ehh not really maybe if your doing 80-90+ mph lol and that will just direct some air straight to the airbox IMHO. It's not like a "Ramair" or anything. Just my .2

I had Rotofab open style one and now a CAI sealed one. The latter has less engine roar when you get on it. I prefer it.
