  • Thanks Fast Motorsports for an awesome tune!

I recently completed my L99 to LS3 valve train conversion in my garage and installed a nice Comp LSr cam along with 3600 stall.

I was looking for a good local tuner for all the work I've done and decided to go to Fast Motorsports in Woodstock since they are close to my house. I spent part of the day there with Brandon who is a top notch professional. I have not had much luck with other tuners in the area specifically when it came down to tuning the complex automatic transmission in these cars.

Brandon proved himself today and exceeded all my expectations. He came to my house with his laptop and loaded a base file in the car in order to drive it on his trailer. He let me ride along with him to his shop and made me feel like home in the waiting area. He gave me a tour of the shop and I was impressed!

My car is tuned as I requested regarding shift points and sport mode vs normal driving. This is what I expected from the other local speed shops but did not receive it. The others did not even give me a ride to work 5 miles away after dropping off my car.

If you're looking for a really good tuner, look no further.

I only drove it home from the shop but so far it seems well mannered and I like it for a non daily driver. It's def much louder and needs more gas to get going as expected but it's so much more fun to drive this way. I don't see any drivability issues.

The way its sounding we should have some impressive performers next year. So hopefully our next c5g track day we can have a good turnout.

One thing I forgot to mention is that Brandon checked all the fluids before he ran the car on the dyno. He didn't charge me extra for this service and said it was standard procedure. I was a bit concerned about my trans fluid since I couldn't run the engine well enough without a tune prior to him arriving to my place. As most people know the engine needs to be running and the trans should be at certain temps before taking an accurate reading of the fluid levels.

What cam did you go with, any videos? I'm going to hold off on a cam until we do the next round of mods for another Camaro Now article.
