There are two main ways to install your can
No cutting of OE piping -- http://www.invisicord.com/docs/RXCatchCans_L99A6.pdf
Cutting of OE piping -- removes need to buy extra hose length -- http://www.revxtreme.com/instructions/cc_sv_l99.pdf
Really up to you. I try to not cut OE pieces when I don't have to, but if you don't have enough of vacuum line, then you'll need more of it. usually just one piece roughly 44" long -- I might have some left over at the house that will work for the short run.
I'm free tomorrow after 6 and then various times over the weekend.
Some people like to mount them over on the battery power post, but I feel that's too exposed. The one mounted to the idler pulley bracket makes for a hidden, more OEM type of install. You also don't have two vacuum lines going out from your engine to that terminal. For the M6 guys, we usually put a clutch sep kit right there anyways, since it's close to the master cylinder. Those with TVS2300 super chargers also will try to relocate the coolant reserve tank there so they can run more choices of engine covers.
