  • Did I get A Good Deal on Kooks?

Hey guys I just paid 1,128 for a set of Kooks 1 7/8 headers with HF cats and want to know if I did or if there was better? Also any idea where a good price on a CAI is?

    Most CAI's are $350-400.

I would say that seems like a pretty fair price for the kit you got.

Where do you plan on getting it installed and tuned?

Omg! Yes that's a good deal man, IMHO I'd get a vararam because I know they work. Just google the part number and start doing your own search man, how many boards are you gonna ask in? Omg lol

As far as tuning is concerned, I'd go to Straightline in New Lenox I've been going there for many years and they a group that you can answer any question too and they always do good jobs.

                Halltech CAI FTW!!

                Jannety test results:

Check out the Avg. TQ and HP gains as well as the peaks.

                T.
The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my Track next fix.

Just did some digging and noticed your year camaro!

Forget the vararam then but try to remember that dyno's are just tuning tools, don't get caught up in the numbers, take it to the track where it counts. When picking a CAI avoid using any of the brands that use metal for tubing, I'd keep it plastic due to heat soak. Happy modding brotha!
