  • Procharger how much boost?

My car is going in July 10 to speed inc to have ds1 supercharger installed on it.. How much pounds of boost should I do? I am thinking 10 pounds of boost.. Also
This winter might Have speed inc pull my engine out and install Lsx 454 crate engine and sell my engine. Anyone familiar with this engine? Or maybe know of a different engine to recommend.

10 on a centry sounds right. Since its not full instant boost like PD, you can get away with a little higher.

Im running 9PSI. Really its fuel and tune. That keeps our engines alive. Even a forged engine can die under boost with a bad tune.

Just work with the installer and they'll set you right for your needs.

I wouldn't recommend that much boost unless you are running a water/meth kit to help cool the air. That much boost will make it hard battling detonation.

I will back Randy up and say 10 would be the most to push out of your setup. Speed has always done my tunes so they will guide you in the right direction with that. Jim has helped me tons.

DO NOT GET AN LSX 454 and add boost to it! I'd get your block or a resleaved block by erl, then get your Forged rotating assembly accordingly, is the safest way IMHO. Too many horror stories if you ask me with those blocks.

I'd keep it at 8lbs and save the motor so it makes it to winter lol
