Engine light Oil pressure low turn engine off

Anyone have the oil pressure low shut engine off light come on? Or have to replace the oil pump? I started my car up and the light oil pressure low shut engine off came on. It looks like a lot of people had to change oil pump. We're would be a good place to take it? I am near Schaumburg I am wondering if I tow it to a speed shop. Any advise?

That sounds like it should be covered under normal powertrain warranty I would think.

I purchased my car from Zeigler Chevy on golf road. I do like the service department. Never have had issues even after they saw my car was twin turbod. The closest speed shop would be speed inc but I do believe they are closed on weekends.

Better hold up there villain, if I were you I would get the oil pump fixed before any mods and make sure it didn't cause any engine damage before you start modding anything else!

Not to be rude or a smart@$$ but did you double check the oil level too?

when I purchased my car it was 5 qts low on oil so it can happen. Was one of the scariest things to see when checking the dipstick and having 4 empty bottles next to you lol

Yep i checked the oil level was fine and says 58 percent oil life

Is it an L99 or Ls3?

Ls3 my temp gauge reads 0 and my oil gauge reads 0

If that's on the aux pack gauges and you drive a 2010 there is an issue with the connector on them... I had them all go dead on me once until I had the TSB done on it

oh and no my oil pressure light didnt come on... i was just stating the oil pressure guage and temp guages maybe a seperate issue....
