I've always had EXCELLENT results with comp.
I would talk to the guys at speed inc. They've done a lot of my other cars.

Don't go off the shelf. Find a set of heads, get them flow tested and build your cam from those numbers.
I have a guy who can do this and advise you. He comes highly recommended.
Or call Dan Bills at FLP (one of our sponsors) tell him you are from C5G.Racing is my life, everything else is just minor details.

I've also used various custom ground cams. Some that complimented the heads (when I did p&p the heads) and others I just left the heads alone. I've had more issued withh custom ground cams than anything.
Now I am not saying they are not good but it's just with my own personal trial/errors that the "off the shelf" cams seemed to work best on all of the various high hp cars that I have owned.Last edited by VenomInside; 05-20-2012, 08:30 PM.

If you're not sure what you need, get with one of our sponsors (speed, libertyville or flp) and talk with them to help guide you. I had no clue what specs I wanted or needed. Met with libertyville and told them what results i wanted and leaned on their expertise to put the build together.

If your stock you'll need some more supporting mods than just the cam.
What are your goals?
Do you still want vvt or do you want to get an Ls3 conversion?
You'll also need a converter matched to your cam, then depending on your cam you might need gears to go with it.
You need to see where your ultimate goal is going to be. Just my .2
