  • Aftermarket Clutch

Need people's opinion. Posted on Camaro5 and got all different answers. What aftermarket clutch are you running with 650 + rwhp?

1stGM did the Kateck lsr9 clutch and posted about it in the "One weak link eliminated" post in this section. Ask him about his.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my Track next fix.

Just picked up the car from getting the new clutch, line and Trans mount. WOW what a difference in peddle feel. The car had a Spec clutch that was total junk with a pedal that felt like a semi. The new one is like butter. Just about put my foot through the floor board the first time I pushed it. Now the hard part of being easy on it for 300 miles to break it in.

It is a very nice driving clutch... I added the LPE clutch return spring to mine...

Is the action on this as short as stock?

Rephrasing... Is the clutch fully out with the pedal just 3" off of the floor?

IMO...this clutch starts to grab 1/3 off the floor.. Full engagement at about 2/3,3/4 pedal release point... hope this answers your question...

Yup. That seems much more manageable than stock.
