First, give us details, .
Second, My first choice would be Komet Motorsports in St. Charles and second would be Finish Line Performance in Naperville. Knowing you live down south FLP is probably your best bet.
Third, a tune for a cam is no different in price than for anything else. It is usually in the $400-$500 range.
When are you installing this?
T.The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my Track next fix.

Definitely Jim from Speed Inc. He knows his stuff. You know he is good when people overseas fly him in to tune their car.

For the price, yeah $450 to $500 is what I was quoted from several places. When you ask for a price, make sure you find out if they will include a baseline pull (assuming you want it). FLP wanted extra on top the $500. I got one included for $450 before my header install, so I'll have two days between pulls since someone else did the install. Not the ideal situation, but better than not having any idea of my gains.Last edited by bannonm; 11-16-2011, 11:07 PM.sigpic

Humm... if I had HP tuners could I tune the car myself? I am thinking about installing a LS stage 2 cam, 227/239 551./.551.... this cam is ment to make allot of torque and sound nasty! Pretty much what I want. Not sure yet, its ethier that or some suspension work and a short throw. Depends on money.12.39 @ 115.6 Da corrected 12.13 @ 118, on stock tires!
Voodoo 218/228 .565 lift cam, xs power headers, home made intake and 3" H pipe exhaust dumped at the rear

Yes but HPTuners is not cheap, $500 for Standard and $650 for Pro, and the learning curve is steep, from what I have heard. Then you would need to rent a Dyno @ $150-$200 an hour. You could do it on the street but it is not quite the same. If you make a mistake in your tuning you could grenade your engine.
Of course once you got good enough, and hadn't blown your sh!t up, you could start tuning other cars after purchasing additional credits.
