STRAIGHT OUT OF THE OWNERS MANUAL:

    Active Fuel Management®
Vehicles with V8 engines and an automatic transmission have Active Fuel Management®. This system allows the engine to operate on either all or half of its cylinders, depending on the driving conditions.
When less power is required, such as cruising at a constant vehicle speed, the system will operate in the half cylinder mode, allowing the vehicle to achieve better fuel economy. When greater power demands are required, such as accelerating from a stop, passing, or merging onto a freeway, the system will maintain full-cylinder operation.
Racing is my life, everything else is just minor details.

Exactly right, and the only thing I HATE about my Camaro! I've not done it, but with a tuner, you can turn the AFM off. (Don't want to start the debate over voiding engine warranty though. )

I have borla products from the manifold back to the muffler does anyone know of a muffler delete that would fit? Because all I am seeing is the straight pipe muffler delete that definetly will not fit..

Not sure what size the Borla system is... Probably best to stop into a muffler shop and they could measure and make some up for you.

Where are you at? There's a few places that members have used, but depends where you are as to where would be closest/best

My recommendations are a little far, the exhaust shop I know is Fair Muffler in LaGrange, and I know at least one other person here has used ExhaustWorks in Naperville, not to mention if Deerfield tire could make something up, but they're farther away, for sure.

Exhaust Works in Naperville does a decent job.

no problem. Either place should be able to whip something up for ya, shouldn't take too much work

We have an L99 take off system with Pypes brand muffler delete that we could sell at a reasonable price.

The Pypes Muffler delete is approx $300.00. So how about $150.00.

What time can I stop by Friday to check them out and make sure they will fit? Do you have any interest in doing a swap for my borla mufflers?
