The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my Track next fix.

Here's all I have to say....Both Dan & T have logged some good seat time with their combos.
I threw the cam in without suspension or tires and wasted my time @ Byron last fall. Total passes on said combo 4, how in the world I was lucky enough not to break anything due to the massive wheel hop I'll never know.
This winter I did all the needed suspension work and got the drag radials needed to get the car out of the hole. The 2 passes I made @ 66 show that work helped ( From 2.5 60' down to a 2.1 ). Car is putting down 470/432 and trapping 116. Once I get enough seat time/passes and get the launch down the car is going to go better than 12.4 easy.
Will somebody be faster? Hell yes...there are multiple 600 + rwhp cars on this site. Almost all of them have the supporting suspension/tire mods needed to run the numbers. All that's needed is the seat time to get the combo dialed in. Dan has aced launching and shifting his combo...to cut a 12.4 and a 1.9 60' on the stock P-Zeros is outstanding. Same with T....hats off to both these guys for wringing the max out of basic bolt on mods.
As the HP/TQ increases, that launch becomes tougher....which is why I'm headed up to GLD @ 10am Friday with a track rental group to get my combo figured out. Slips will follow, stay tuned.
The guy with the deepest pockets will always reside at the top of any fast list. That guy surely isn't me....but I do know out of the cars listed on our current list, once I get my shit ironed out I'll be king. Till the real big dogs claim thier spot at the top. ( Or till Dan fills his bottle )
Just to be clear....it was by .01 in the 1/8 mile...from the 1/8 to the finish line is where the HP advantage comes into play sir. Remember, I'm not FI I'm NA so until 3000 RPM I don't really have any large advantage over the combos you and Dan currently have.
Slight correction- the guy at the top of the fastest list will be the guy that can launch and run the car, AND has tbe deepest pockets... The one that can't drive will lose or be in the wall... or both.

Money can only take you far. After a certain point money is irrelevant and it comes down to driver skill. As for using a bottle I dont think times in which a bottle is used are that impressive anyway
