    Bumping an old thread.

Don't you get run over doing the speed limit? I just go with the flow... and cross my fingers that the flow is go!

My 9AM commute to work on 355 is usually going with the flow of traffic... 80-85. I've been averaging 21.7. Not bad. In my truck I get about the same - but I have two less "gears" to work with in its 4L60E slushbox.

When I lived in Kansas City, my trips to my family in Northwest Indiana typically averaged me 27.5mpg. LS3, as well, on premium, averaging 68mph. The trip consisted of I-35 to US-36 to I-72 to IL-57 to IL-1 to IN-10.

The record I got in my truck ('04 Canyon Z71 4x4 Crew 3.5L I5/4190lbs) for that same stretch to Indiana, also averaging 68mph, was 27.3mpg. That's determined by resetting the trip odometer at a carefully topped off fuel up, running her down to the point of needing another fill up, and then dividing the values. The Canyon doesn't have an AFE or IFE computerized measurement.

For what it's worth, I've found the the AFE value reported by the Camaro's DIC is very close to the measured value for a given trip.

I didn't go fill it back up to measure the difference, but I've seen others do that and even after a tune, etc. it's still fairly accurate. This was my first actual road trip (kinda0 with the car that I was on the highway long enough to get a decent reading.

It was only at ~27MPG at 65MPH. Once I dropped down to 55 coming in to Illinois, it slowly went up to 30.1MPG.
I always thought speed limit signs were put there as more of a suggestion than a rule...

Ever since my turbo install I have yet to see anything over 14.5 show up on my dash. Before this I could easily get right at 30 mpg but when you bump your injectors up to 65lbs, its hard to maintain the same fuel economy... But totally agree the fun level is much much higher.

You should ask your tuner if he did a scaled tune for the supercharger? If the tuner used the scaling method to keep the MAF then I would be willing to be that your computers Average MPG calcs are going to be off by the amount that the tuner did the scale by.
