  • Speed Inc. / 2010 SS TVS2300 and a few other mods

We had the pleasure of putting this nice package together for Randy's 2010 IOM SS.

    LS3/T56

    TVS2300 with 3.6 pulley / 9psi
    CAI air intake
Doug Thorley headers with Magnaflow cats
    SLP LMII axle back
    Pfadt bushings and trailing arms
    Speed Inc. secondary pump upgrade
    Speed Inc. Dyno Tune

We originally had cogs on the setup, but it made too much boost for 93 octane and after multiple pulley swaps went back to stock rears and a 3.6 front.

The car made good power and Randy should have had some time to enjoy it yesterday.

Thanks guys... I know those Cogs were a royal pain.. I'm actually kind of surprised that I can hear the faint whine of the blower bouncing off cars while I was accelerating (part throttle) last night. It's just loud enough to make someone look and think "wait, was that a...?"

It's definitely a different car now.. Thus far, I've not noticed much in the way of extra road/suspension noise from the solid sub frame mounts. I know there was some concern over on C5 about that. It does ride firmer, but it's not bad at all. I can say that corners and turns feel more planted and stable. It's just enough to be noticeable, but I've not had a chance to safely push the car.

Kim's not really a car chick.. but, her exact words from last night driving around in it where "Wow.. Now I see why some women really like these cars.. This thing sounds so mean" -- once I gave her a 3/4 pedal through 2nd she was sold on the mods. Definitely some relearn time for me.

        Randy

yes the cogs were a little bit of a PITA, but in the end everything worked out well

I'm glad to hear you got some time to enjoy the car yesterday. I'm sure it's like starting all over & now you need the driver mod

        keep in touch

        Thanks

Congrats on the mods Randy. I will be running the 1:1 cog which supposedly adds no boost and the 3.6 pulley so I should not run into any problems with boost I hope. Makes me wish I could have mine down to Larry tomorrow, but unfortunately,it's not scheduled until the second week in May.
          Enjoy the new found power!

Yes, that's my understanding on the 1:1 as well. No change in boost (well, unless you're slipping on the stock rears) -- The issue was that the 1:1 was out of stock, but the Over Drives were in stock. I had been told that with my mods and the 3.8" that the ODs would push ~9.5 -- Larry and co saw 11 PSI (not good). So, they were finally able to get it under control with the build above. I have a buyer for my OD cogs, so all is well.

I'd like to hear your 1:1 in person some time when you finally get them installed. I've only heard videos.

I will keep you and everyone else updated here on the site when it goes down to Speed.
Everyone is more than welcome to drop by there and check it out if they are interested. I have no problem as long as Larry doesn't.
