So I am off to the races on getting a massive amount of work done this weekend.
I get the barton shifter in no issues.
Ok next is the rear end installing all the BMR stuff. Here is where the hassle begins. First issue the I get the driver side toe arm off. Go to put in the first BMR toe rod and the inner cam bolt wont go in.. Take the BMR toe arm out and test fit the bolts. Spindle bolt goes in no issue. Try the other and its to big or the hole is to small in the toe arm.. The dam cam bolt the non threaded part is to big. Can measure as my micrometer battery is dead. Of course BMR is closed on saturdays I'll just shoot a email off to the rep. Oh well move on.
After 2 trips to home depot for threaded rod bolts for the contraption to remove the old bushings. They are out and what a pain. Hint heat the dam things up alot if you plan to remove them.
Ok now the whole cradle is out bushings are a pain to remove. Got trailing arms in, New springs in, Sway bar is in....OH GOD!. BMR only gave me 1 pack of mounting bolts for the new end links. Not good now I cant install the front sway bar end links.
Put the cradle bushing inserts in and time to put the cradle back in....UM where are the bolts (garage is a mess with tons on BMR boxes and wrappings). Found them got kkick across the garage.
Ok cradle bolting up...BAM dam caliper falls on my head. No blood im still good to finish mods..
Get the subframes, tunnel brace on, bolt up drive shaft, and ready to move on to the front.
UGH what a pain getting the front sway bar in with out a lift. Grab new end links and I remember no hardware. Now I am scrambling around to find the nuts for the stock end links. Got the new front springs on. I get all the tires on. Do a last minute torque check. Clean up the garage and test it out.
Shifter feels alot better than stock...clank clank clank. WTF! Something is loose.
I forgot to tighten the dam heat shield down and one side of the tunnel brace.
To tired, to cold, its 7pm and I have to get to mount prospect for work. ill finish it in the morning.
Still have front lower control arms, toe rods now, front end links, LS7 clutch to put in. Than the rear lower control arms from BMR that get released this week.
