Just wanted to give an update on my Procharger install..
First off, let me just say that the Procharger was not my first choice... I really wanted a Kenne Bell, but, I was offered this kit for well under $5K brand new in the box. It is the complete, polished P1 kit that retails for $6800...
The kit is OK I guess. I did the install myself over a 2 day period. The kit has a hokey "cam-lock" syle blower drive that mounts to a machined factory crank pulley. Really sucked ligning up all 6 cam-locks.... The intercooler piping also leaves a little to be desired. It exits the intercooler and loops around under the passenger side frame rail then up to the TB. The reinforced rubber tubing, however, gets pinched by the engine cradle on its way up. I would say that the hose is compressed at least a third of the way. I ended up installing a stainless 4" wide band clamp around the hose at the point that it gets pinched. This was enough to kind of re-route the hose and limit the pinch to 10% or so.
Otherwise, the kit is very straight forward and the instructions are top notch.
I also added a KB boost a pump at the advice of Speed, Inc. The car has Dynatech 1 7/8" longtubes and cats going into the factory catback. I should also mention that the car is a LS3.... Car was making 7psi...
Attached is my dyno sheet from Speed, Inc. Thanks to them for letting me install the 65lb. injectors in their shop before they did the tune. I drove down from Wisconsin with the stock fuel injectors and tune.... Imagine leaving the toll booths in a blown Camaro and tip-toeing the gas as to make sure to stay out of boost!!!!!! Total time for me to change out the injectors and them to tune was about 4.5 hours.... really nice, since I had a shop in Oswego do the tune on my old Procharged '09 Challenger a couple years ago, and they decided to take about 10+ hours to make 4 pulls in between doing anything else they could find to do, while I sat and waited... So much for scheduling 3 weeks in advance...
Now, I am really trying to keep myself from calling Larry @ Speed, Inc. and scheduling a blower cam install.... along with a clutch, axles, 3.70 something gears, etc., etc..... It never ends.....
