        I'm thinking Maggie.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my Track next fix.

Have my Maggie sitting here ready for install. Now I am deciding if I want the COG drive to give it that distinct blower whine.

Seems like that's the way! I would hate to spend the money and not hear it.

Nope....everything I've read about the fast shows minimal gains on stock displacement engines. They really shine on larger displacement LSX set up though!

What kind of gains will that net you and how much $? I had thought you were a NA kinda guy too.

I was told the more mods the higher the gain....stock cars show around 10-11 rwhp. The max I was told was 28 rwhp. Cost is under $400...I'm trying to milk all the power I can out of the car without any power adders.

As always, I always take the car back to the dyno it was baselined on after each mod...we'll see what the real word gains are soon enough!

Here's the progression of dyno pulls :

                    Bone stock : 390/368
Headers, CAI, axle back without tune : 422/408
                    Cam swap : 470/423

                        Hey Hugger,

What made you decide to use Vmax and how did you hear about them. I was just glancing at their website and they don't have a whole lot of info up there.

I like the sound of a quick 28 HP gain though. I will have to wait till next year though. I think my next upgrade might be this and a cam but I am leaning toward suspension right now. But, again, not till next year.

I did quite a bit of research, along with making several phone calls....the multiple phone conversations with Pete @ VMax made me feel they were the right ones for the job.

The website is on the light side for sure, but the phone calls more than made up for that!
