  • Cam PKG, R2C CAI, cutouts #'s

We just finished another 2010 SS LS3/M6 today.

We are planning a blower, so we did one of our blower grinds for now. The customer had installed SW 1 7/8 headers with offroad mids to stock mid-pipe a few weeks back. We then added the dual low pro DMH cutouts and planned to tune the car, but while in we decided to reschedule for a cam pkg and tune

    so here we are...

    SI 226/238 .570/.585 113.5 / SC CAM
    PRC 670 springs
    Comp pushrods
    TR55's
SW 1 7/8, offroads, stock mid-pipe with DMH cutouts
    stock axle back
    R2C CAI
    stock crank pulley
    SI Dyno Tune

We had a stock dyno on this car and then the graph shows through stock axle back and open cutouts. The 452 rwhp is open cutouts which shows that the stock axle back flows pretty well as I have mentioned before.

I REALLY want a cam, but I use the car as a daily driver, so I don't know if it'll be a good choice until I have another car for regular driving! I love the old-school idle gurgle, but I hear that overlap makes low RPM driving tricky, and bad on mileage! If only I could get that sound, great drive-ability and the same mileage!

This setup here drives great and should see little to no difference in fuel economy..unless it's due to your right foot.

We have many customer who do cam and head setups for DD's.

Just happened to stumble across this post; the car here is my 2010 SS, just wanted to chime in that the car drives perfectly, and runs strong, and puts out a nice power band, particularly for a blower cam. I anticipated lackluster numbers with this cam running NA, but I couldn't have been more wrong. Drives and sounds fantastic!

Speed, Inc is top notch, and Larry is a phenomenal guy to work with. This is not my first go'round with these guys, they helped get my old cam only '01 Z running 11.90s; they've always been outstanding. I would without hesitation highly recommend Larry @ Speed Inc. to anyone.

Thanks Larry, I'm looking forward to the Maggie!

yes..very good #'s and this was through the stock axle back and no cutouts. I know Andy will be getting another couple pulls soon to show the cutout gains.

John I'm sure your car will make these #'s if not a little more

It certainly did, and all I can say wow.....

This setup pulls everywhere! I thought the car was quick before but jesus.. now it's ridiculous. Chances are, even when I think its grabbing, it's likely spinning, so I won't truly get to enjoy it until Mickey Thompson gets their act together and makes the 20" radials available.
I've not yet put the cog pulleys on but you can definitely hear the TVS, although it's quiet in comparison to my exhaust.

I have to take a minute here and give huge Kudos to Speed Inc. I've used them exclusively for some time now and they have never been anything short of first class. I'd be happy to take anyone for a spin who is considering a similar setup... Trust me, you will want it. Larry has always been great to work with as have the rest of the guys @ Speed Inc. Hit these guys up, they do phenomenal work. Bryan@speedinc.com tom@speedinc.com

Will post up more as I've had more time to have fun!

Dyno chart below... first run is Stock, followed by blower cam NA, and finally Blower + Cam

Thanks for everything Larry & Speed Inc!
