  • Just placed my BIG order!

Today is the big day. I finally took to the steps of transforming my Camaro into a monster!

Just got off the phone with John at Texas-Speed. He's going to be setting me up with a very nice full headers/exhaust system, at an extremely low price!

Also I ordered a Cold Air Inductions CAI, SCT tuner and a free tune from Jannetty Racing.

I hope to get these buy the weekend so I can install them asap!

With these mods I'm hoping to be near the top of the V8 fast list! (Watch out Dan )

I think I'm skipping softball tomorrow to claim my rightful spot at the top of that fast list.

Awesome! Can't wait to see the finished product on the track.

Mike you can't miss our game, we need one last tune-up before our title run. Or a one and done, and then we can all go to the track!

I was trying to take the more economical route to save some money with this purchase. I figured if I added more mods I wouldn't have to pay down the road to get it retuned.

I think the handheld tuner would be fine for simple things like a cai and exhaust but once you get into with headers, cam, etc you should definitely get it dyno tuned imo

Reading from what people and vendors have said you can get almost as good results on the SCT tuner as a dyno tune. Granted a dyno tune will be able to get that last hp out of your car, but I feel i'll be fine with the hand held.

Theres a guy on C5 thats running 10.5's with a supercharger, cam headers the works and he swears by the SCT tuner.
