so I have been thinking about having exhaust cutouts installed on my car. I'm looking for some input I've all ready done the axle back thing.

I was going to do the same thing a few years ago until I got some cheap axlebacks from a friend.
Loved the sound during acceleration. Hated the highway droning at cruising speeds.
Best of both worlds: active exhaust. Quiet in the neighborhood, loud and power when you need it.
Designed and developed by racers, Quick Time Performance (QTP) exhaust products are tested and track-proven to enhance performance.
But as I didn't want to make it any louder, I never did it.
There are DIYs on other forum.
Of course some of the new Vettes and Camaro's have the NPP (same thing).
I ordered my 2016 with it and can't wait til it's here.

Elect exhaust cutouts
Very nice!
Questions: I watched both the videos and noticed the actuators we installed differently. First video showed them pushing the lever 'under' and the other video showed them pushing the lever from 'above'. Are there pros or cons to either? Also, will this kit install on a 5th gen convertible which has extra bracing under the drivetrain tunnel?sigpic

Electric cutouts and exhaust diverters are similar yet different.
The diverters have two valves as opposed to cutouts with one so that you can go from full closed exhaust to full open or anywhere in between. There is a sound quality difference.
There is also more than one way to install them. Since we have done lots of the development work on the "diverters" we have our own "NicKey" way to install them.
Both of the "NicKey" videos look the same to me? Lever for valve on top. In for open, out for closed.
We remove the transmission cross member and clearance it so that we can tuck the diverters up and out of the way as much as possible.
Yes, convertibles are doable, however there are additional issues, like the brace. Many have opted to eliminate the extra brace, while other have had us custom fabricate a tubular brace as opposed to the bulky stamped steel one.
