So just curious, why did you step-down in rim size for the winter tires?

Not as wide to cut through the snow, smoother ride on ice, and I just love blowing money. It's kinda cool, the black heritage gives it a road warrior look. It's like having two different cars.

Bought my 2LT/RS on new years eve. Couldn't get it up my driveway with the 20 inch rims with the pirelli summer tires on it. You have two options- 1. get rear 20 in pirelli scorpian ice tires (which is what I did).(about 350 a pop) 2. get two new matching 19 inch rims and put on Blizzacks.

I love the 20s in the back, so I got the Ice tires. Once I got them,I was unstoppable. I went from a all-wheel drive 3 series BMW to my Camaro, and I am still heavy-footed. In the snow it is about the same. Stop listening to your parents. Its time to make your own mistakes, but this aint one of them.

Nope, disagree, I put mine away for the winter until the salt is off the road, but then again, I have some other cars I can drive. I just want to keep mine looking as pristine as I can for as long as I can.

be smart. put it away for the winter. you wont regret it.
my 2ss/rs has never seen snow or salt. (go it in october 09) make you love it even more, the fact that you take care of her... get a cheap daily driver for winter... a small fwd or awd maybe a $5k would b decent enuff for winters!
i got a 04 silverado ss AWD for the winters! but i just had to have an ss for the winter also lol
