So I'm still in the market to buy my first car which I REALLY would like to be a 2LT/RS in Black. I'm concerned about driving in snowy conditions and my parental units are trying to persuade me to get a FWD or AWD vehicle. I've looked at other cars...the ones I like are way out of my price range. Today I was in a parking lot and an orange SS with black racing stripes drove past me and I fell in love again.
I need to know from y'alls experience, how does it handle in the snow? I'm a pretty cautious driver when it comes to bad weather (clean driving record too, thats why I'm sticking to the V6...I'd ruin that driving off the lot in the V8, lol). I've been driving a 2000 toyota tundra since I was 16 (now 22) and that thing handles decent in the snow, I've spun it a couple of times too. And if I was going to use my camaro as my primary car is there even an option to put snow tires on the thing? has anyone heard of it? I went snooping around on google and I've heard mix reviews.
We put two 70lb bags of sand in the bed of my truck every winter to weigh it down, I think that would work too by putting it in the trunk in the camaro. lol...I REALLY WANT THIS CAR. And I've gotta convince my dad that I can handle it in the chicago snow before I can get it.
Help? Thanks
