  • Oil leak

Went out to start the car. Pulled out into the driveway. Headed back into the house and saw a big puddle of oil on the garage floor.
This is my third leak with my 2011. Is any one else been having this problem?
Thank goodness the warranty is still good until April 20th of this year.

3rd leak? Wow, that would be frustrating for sure. What were the other two leaks from?

If the car has been parked awhile, my guess it's the oil cooler gasket or oil filter.
I have had the oil pan gasket replaced and the oil cooler gasket replaced.
Don't think the known issue with the porosity of the casting at the rear seal is an issue... with the V6...

If the car has been parked/sitting, you should actually be able to look under the car and see where it's coming from (hasn't had a chance to be slung all over the place on the road. That being said, 70K+ miles and I've not had any leaking on my 2011

        Ok. Good news Bad news.
The good news, it was not an oil leak.
The bad news, it was a hose to my power steering pump.
The good news, it is still under warranty.
        Picked up the car today.
        Thank goodness for snow tires.
Thank you all for the responses.
        Much appreciated.

Yah, no kidding. So long as its not the rack, labor shouldn't be too bad for either hose.

Hey, sorry to hear of your issue. The dealer had my car for three days because they had to order the part. Hopefully you will not have to wait that long.

Do you know which hose they replaced on yours? ... I've got a not so great feeling about mine. I think it lost too much fluid before I caught it. I filled the reservoir back up tonight, but the pump is still whining

So is this a somewhat common issue on the 6'ers?

well, I don't necessarily think so, I only found a few instances on camaro5, and most of those were very very low mileage failures, likely defective parts. Hard to say what mine is just yet,
