So, I picked up a set of used, stainless BBK's with hi-flow cats. They look fine, but, the collector-flange studs and washers/nuts are not stainless. Should I clean them up (tap and die), or, just buy new ones? Are they all standard? They look to be 1/2".

Tony, I used stainless steel socket cap bolts on mine. They look good and are easy to put on. Let me know because I got mine at my Ace store I work at.sigpic

I would not recomend stainless hardware in fear that it would seize. Not sure if thhere is good access to cut off the hardware if one were to stick on you. Played with a lot of stainless as a marine mechanic. Never seize on all hardware and once in awhile something would still stick. Always would happen to me in the worst possible spot where I had to fight to cut it off.
