Did you look up info on the cai you installed? Some cai's will throw off codes others will not. I made sure the cai i got (roto fab) would not throw off any codes before I ordered.

When I put my Roto-Fab on I went out and jumped on it and threw a code. Mine was because it was reading lean. It normally takes around 100 miles or so for the computer to learn all that extra air flow and make all of its adjustments. I reset my light and all is good. If you want your light reset let me know I will hook you up.

So I bought one of those auto scanners (Actron cp9575) and the codes are:
P2179 System Too Lean Off Idle
P2177 System Too Lean Off Idle
I've cleared them and we'll see after couple drive cycles.

No, I get them back every three days. I can tell I have small leaks where my axle backs were installed. Not sure if that would cause it. I'm gonna get them welded better. If not, maybe I have a vacuum leak from cai. Also, now once a week when I start I have misfires. Only when starting once a week. Other than that still runs nice.
                  You ready to do Tunes?

Yes I am ready, I have my laptop and would need some of your info, but I can come to you and do the tune. Let me know what you would want to do do. I would need all your mods and your VIN and if you have an A6 I will be able to do Trans tune too. I will also keep a copy of the stock tune if you need to go back to stock.

:driver:Huh, have went five days now since had my axel back welded on instead of the clamps and no codes. Could that small leak been throwing codes and causing those start up misfires? Crossing my fingers. Normally light goes on in 3 days.

It could go get the codes read again and if no codes the computer has learned the new exhaust and the welding may have just helped it!

6 Days no code. The leak at the axel back must have been the problem. I was getting codes every three days for a month. I have a hand held and still no codes. I win.
