Hello V6 family,

I have few questions about moding and what my options are. I have the LFX engine and i want more horse power and better sound and feel.. I got the base model cause it give me platform to start with a few perks.

I would like to know if i could change my axle out to 3.55 ratio so i could get sports mode is this possible?

What exhaust can i get without voiding my warranty i heard it has to be GM aftermarket parts is what my dealer told me?

Does CAI really give you any horse power gains?

As I understand it, a new exhaust would only void the warranty on the exhaust.

Some CAI's do provide good gains, but, there are not many that will work with the LFX yet.

There is no Vararam for the LFX yet, AFAIK.

Sport mode is a function of the auto trans.

Dude, if you go vararam, be prepared to wait a long time! I have a 2012 LT and am still waiting for them to come out with one for mine. And let me tell you, the wait is very near its end!

Oh, and I doubt an aftermarket exhaust would void a warranty? FYI, I put a flow master from a V8 (Axle back) on mine, and it sounds killer!

i have auto trans which does not have sports mode and i am trying to get sports mode or do some performance mods that will help me get more aggressive feel out of my V6.

I guess i will start with Cold Air intake and exhaust and then see what other performance mods i can do.
