SLP Blackwing V6 Cold-Air Induction Package

So as many of you know I had a K&N Cold Air Kit on my car, and wound up getting a CEL every thousand miles or so. So I decided to put it up for same and try another company. I decided to go with SLP and their Blackwing. It's interesting because they have you keep the stock air box, all you really change is the air filter and the elbow between the MAS and the throttle body. Eliminating the all the the silencers. The car feels about the same as it did with the K&N, but is not quite as loud. All things considered I am very happy with the new kit, and best of all for over two weeks no CEL.

Curious why did you decide between these intakes (K&N, SLP) and not the more common ones like CAI, Roto-Fab, Vararam?

I have had K&N on almost every car I've had to include my old Firebird and Mustang. I knew the quality and performance of that brand first hand, and just wanted to stay with something that I was familiar and comfortable with. As for SLP that is just a brand that my family and friends had trusted as my father used to have nothing but Pontiac Trans Am's and used nothing but SLP, as well as my friend Steve who had a 2002 SS. All in all I just went with what I knew.

Wish I had known you wanted to get rid of it, probably would have saved me a some money. Oh well, it's on there now.
