the best thing to do is run to autozone to scan what the code its throwing.

my guess is that its going to say you are running lean due to the increased amount of air flow. i know from my recent turbo install that our MAF are very sensitive to increased air flow.

best way for results is a tune. talk to Tom at speed inc, they have tuned my car a couple times.

i have read that you can "try" an aftermarket MAF that can adjust better but realistically a tune is always the best option.

          will a tune void warranty

technically yes, i had mine tuned about a week after i bought my car 2 years ago to get a little extra horsepower and get rid of the skip shift.

but realistically its pretty hard for a dealer to blame a car breaking on a basic tune. so usually dealers dont even look into that. and they can always return the computer back to base tune as well.

I think K&N would want you to do an advertisement if the CEL is from the increased air flow. The CAIs shouldn't throw codes. Get it scanned as mentioned, but double check your gas cap first, and all the connections from the intake to the filter.

I agree with Priz. Check that everything is installed correctly. Although you can tune the car back to stock if the dealer ever checks the cars ECU they will know you tuned it and that could cause you problems depending on how your dealer's view is on modified cars

I get these codes also. Lean off idle. I put my stock intake on during the winter and had no light. As soon as I put it back on this spring I got my light back. I just bought a scanner and clear it. My goes on every 4-5 start ups etc.

double check ALL the connections, including the pcv tube. There was a guy on camaro5 with a similar issue, and it was a loose tube. Other than that, I've not heard anybody else besides K&N users having a code from just an intake.
