    You mean Modern Monkeys?

Then there is the body shop over there, Higher Xpectations known as No or Low Xpectations. And don't forget Sound Design, the sound joint, affectionaly known as Sound Destruction. He he he.

Like any shop they have good stories and HORROR stories. Some more than others.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my Track next fix.

Ha. Thanks. Well, I will email speed inc and see what they can do for me. Based on what people have said, I will look into re-doing the exhaust system (headers and all) and do a CAI. Then do the tune to see what I can get out of her now that she will be able to breath better. Hopefully by then, someone will have come out with a S/C for the V6. Thanks again guys.

There's a few top choices in regards to the CAI's available. There's the Injen, which offers a standard (which has it's intake down behind the fog light) and a short-ram version, that is more similar to the other styles available (filter near stock location). Then, there is the AIRAID, and Roto-Fab. The Injen has a slight edge in gains at the top of the RPM range, but is also the loudest, if you don't mind the noise. The AIRAID and Roto-Fab are similar in gains, with the AIRAID having a bit of an edge in the lower RPM range. I think I may have a graph here somewhere that somebody put together on Camaro5 with dyno results from a testing session for these. (obviously it was one dyno, etc etc...) Anyway, I do recall that the K&N was not the best choice, at the time. I ended up getting the AIRAID unit, and I love it. I could feel the improvement in throttle response, and also HEAR it

There are a few companies making headers for our V6 now, both in short and long tube versions, but the short-tube version is actually more of a mid-length, they meet up with the stock cat. location.- the v6 will benefit with the shorties more than the v8 guys will. The long tubes get the better gains, but you will get a CEL because they move the rear o2 sensor placement.

        Good luck on making decisions!!

Priz23 has (had?) a Cold Air Inductions unit and saw some nice gains at the track. If I don't see similar A/B tests for other intakes, I'm doing that one!

Who has the best numbers for the LS3? It's my next investment.

I know, but I was reading this one so at the time it made sense. Besides, I thought you had all the answers anyway Tony.

Haha. Thanks guys. I will look into the Airaid and cold air inductions unit and see which I like best. Thanks Toasty for the pointers on Headers. I will keep with the short tube because while I love gains, I don't like that CEL light.

Heh! Makes sense. I'd say Speed, for sure, for the SS.

'course if you're getting a tune, they can remove the codes for the cat CEL...

Am I wrong recalling that the shorties did, essentially, nothing?

On the V8, yeah the shorties arent really worth the hassle. On the V6, they're more of a mid-length header, and do provide some gains.
