  • Test drove a 2LT RS today

I am blown away with the 3.6, it's an awesome engine. I think the exhaust noise in the car is louder than the SS in a good way. I want to trade my Monte in on it right now. It was the twin of my car. Black on black RS w/sunroof except it was an auto. It has a ton of torque and revs to the moon. I am in love and would love to pick one up as a DD and 2nd 5th gen. It felt so much more refined almost like a Caddy. Much better than a G35. I want one right now, too bad my wallet won't allow. :chairshot: Definitely not like the old V6's!

the first time that I drove it on sport mode and it pined me to my seat when I mashed it on a freeway on ramp I knew that this is not your regular V6, I still would like to make it a bit louder

        I'm with you, Dan!
I'd love to get a 2LT as a 2nd car. Best bang for the buck IMO!

Octane, I am sure all of us LT owners would like an SS for our 2nd car! The 6 is awesome, but I doubt any of us picked it over the 8 for anything other than cost.

WORD! I am used to having one over on C5 and in another thread went looking for one, or something similar and couldn't find one! Was a little upset, but got over it fast!

You bet Dark SS, I have the silver 2LT that got dyno'd at our first gathering. I really love the V6, alot of power and breaks down the old V6 barriers, like the old school 2010 V6 Mustang. I'm sure as the horsepower wars heat up, better things will be in store for the V6 Camaro. As you saw on the dyno, the V6 has a very broad torque powerband.

I've test driven a 2LT and a 2SS. I test drove the 2SS on a test track and got to floor it and then slam on the breaks. Loved it. I feel like I'd get in SO much trouble with an SS. I'm also kinda tight on a budget for a car so it seems like a V6 is still ample for the car? I was quoted $36,000 (college graduate discount) for the 2SS with EVERYTHING I wanted in it. I'd rather get it under $30,000 (with college graduate discount) and not have big car payments every month! lol you think that'd be the way to go?

The V6 is more than fine, especially if you are on a budget. I got mine for $26k.

The V6 havs alot of get up and go. I own one. I have LT2 with the RS package. Great car. The car has alot of power even with the air condition on.
Love this car. Had it up to 80 MPH down the ramp to the expressway. With the todays price of gas, the V6 is the way to go.

Love my 2lt / rs v6. This car has a lot of get up and go for v6. Handles very good. Would recommend the v6 if you can not effort the SS.
